Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Technician with 2-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are essential.Key Responsibilities:
Install and Program Fire Alarm Systems:
Perform installations, wiring, and programming of fire alarm systems in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.Maintenance and Repairs:
Conduct regular maintenance, inspection, and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime.Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all work complies with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and local regulations. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and installations.Customer Support:
Communicate with clients to explain system functionality, provide training, and address concerns in a professional manner.Collaboration:
Work closely with team members, contractors, and other trades to complete projects.Qualifications:
Experience:
2-5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or a related role in the fire safety or electrical industry.Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Understanding of fire alarm systems, including addressable and conventional panels. Knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations or the willingness to learn.Soft Skills:
Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical Requirements:
Climbing ladders, lifting boxes, installing devices.Benefits:
