Job Description
What to Expect Tesla has an outstanding opportunity to join the Facilities Fire Protection team at our Fremont Factory. The Facilities Fire Protection team maintains the fire & life safety systems at the factory and surrounding properties as well as new fire/life safety systems as the factory continues to grow and works in concert with our Fire Engineering team providing operability inputs and assisting with field verifications. Team members also respond to emergencies involving the fire/life safety systems. What You'll Do Perform Inspection, Testing and Maintenance and troubleshooting on fire suppression, fire pump, fire alarm systems and facility fire extinguishers Perform fire and life safety code compliance reviews and audits for facilities throughout the Bay Area Identify, track and support mitigation strategies for life safety concerns Respond to and mitigate emergency events as part of internal response team Read, review, and provide mark ups as necessary in support of Fire and Life Safety system new construction and modifications What You'll Bring 2 years of inspection and/or install experience with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems preferred NICET certifications, California, NFPA/ProBoard/IFSAC Fire Inspector preferred or willing to obtain Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, etc., and able to learn other company software Ability to act in accordance with Tesla requirements as well as state and federal laws, regulations, operational procedures, policies and statutes Familiarity with California Fire and Building Codes, Familiarity with NFPA codes including but not limited to Ca. Edition
