Senior Fire Alarm Service Technician | Glendale, CA Glendale Fire Systems Glendale, CA Job Details Full-time $32 - $45 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Field service equipment repair Control panels Electrical work System design Driver's License Troubleshooting electrical systems System testing Mentoring Leading team collaboration initiatives Fire alarm system installation Technical troubleshooting support Fire alarm system design Fire protection systems Full Job Description Glendale Fire Systems, a licensed C-10 fire alarm and electrical contractor serving the greater Los Angeles area, is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Service Technician to lead service, inspection, and troubleshooting work across our commercial customer base.
Responsibilities:
Lead installation, inspection, testing, and repair of commercial fire alarm and life safety systems in compliance with NFPA 72, California Fire Code, and local AHJ requirements Diagnose and resolve complex system issues on commercial fire alarm control panels (Notifier, Simplex, Edwards, or similar) Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians in the field Review and sign off on inspection reports, service tickets, and compliance documentation Serve as primary point of contact for clients and AHJs on complex or escalated service issues Respond to service calls and emergency troubleshooting as needed
Requirements:
5+ years of commercial fire alarm service/installation experience Current California State Fire/Life Safety Certification (required)
LAFD REG 4
Basic and Complex Fire Life Safety Systems Certification preferred, not required but must be willing to obtain. NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II or higher preferred Strong knowledge of commercial fire alarm panel programming, troubleshooting, and system design principles Valid CA driver's license with clean driving record Ability to work independently and lead field teams on complex projects
Compensation:
$40.00-$52.00/hour, depending on experience and certification level
