Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and certified Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in California. The ideal candidate must hold a current NICET certification and California Blue Card Certification. They must have strong experience in installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in compliance with California codes and regulations. Key Responsibilities Program, test, inspect, repair and service fire alarm systems Perform routine inspections in accordance with NFPA 72 and California Fire Code Troubleshoot system issues and perform necessary repairs Complete detailed inspection reports and documentation Ensure all work complies with California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) requirements and local AHJ standards Coordinate with office and on site personnel Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with clients Minimum Requirements Valid NICET Certification (Level II or higher preferred) - "Blue Card" required Minimum 3+ years of fire alarm experience Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 72 Familiarity with California Fire Code (CFC) and local jurisdiction requirements Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Experience with major fire alarm systems (Notifier, EST, Siemens, Silent Knight, etc.) Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications California Fire/Life Safety Technician Certification (CFST) or CSFM certification (if applicable) Experience with low-voltage systems integration (access control, CCTV, etc.) OSHA 10 or 30 certification Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Work on ladders, lifts, and in various indoor/outdoor environments Comfortable working in construction and occupied facilities Compensation & Benefits $42-$50/hour DOE Overtime opportunities Company vehicle Health, dental, and vision insurance 401k with employer matching Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and certification support Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all California employment laws, including fair hiring practices and workplace safety standards.
