We are looking for a dependable, hands-on technician with experience working with commercial fire alarm and/or security alarm systems. The ideal candidate understands low-voltage wiring, can troubleshoot systems in the field, and isn't afraid to get into an attic, crawl space, or other tight areas when the job requires it. Position Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial alarm systems Work with fire alarm and/or security alarm systems Install and terminate low-voltage wiring and cabling Read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and system layouts Troubleshoot wiring, devices, panels, and system communication issues Install and service devices such as: Fire alarm panels and initiating devices Security alarm panels Motion detectors Door contacts Pull stations Smoke and heat detectors Horns/strobes Other low-voltage devices Run cable through commercial buildings, ceilings, walls, attics, and crawl spaces Perform system testing and verify proper operation Identify problems and make necessary repairs Work independently in the field while maintaining communication with the company Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes and requirements Complete service documentation and job paperwork accurately

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
