Job Description

DIV. 17 Augusta, GA Summary Century Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician / Foreman to lead field crews, troubleshoot and program fire alarm systems, and support installation and service operations in Augusta, GA. Candidates should have strong technical fire alarm knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to work independently in the field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Program, troubleshoot, and commission newly installed fire alarm systems. Lead and oversee field crews on fire alarm installation and service projects. Layout, assemble, and install low-voltage fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72, NEC, and local codes. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Bend conduit and perform electrical wiring associated with fire alarm installations. Perform inspections, diagnose issues, and complete system repairs and troubleshooting. Test systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality and code compliance. Communicate professionally with customers regarding system status, repairs, and project completion. Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and project updates accurately and timely. Operate independently on job sites while maintaining quality and safety standards. Train, mentor, and direct Helpers and/or Installers in the field. Education and/or Experience 3+ years of fire alarm installation and/or service experience preferred. Previous experience leading crews or working in a Foreman/Lead Technician capacity preferred. Strong troubleshooting and programming experience with fire alarm systems required. Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and NEC required. Experience with conduit bending, blueprint reading, and electrical wiring required. NICET certification preferred. Experience with systems such as Notifier, Siemens, Honeywell, EST/Edwards, or similar platforms preferred. Electrical, low-voltage, or construction background strongly preferred. Computer Skills Basic computer skills required. Experience using laptops and/or iPads for programming, troubleshooting, and documentation preferred
