Take ownership of projects. Help build our Augusta fire alarm team. Century Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Foreman / Lead Installer to support our growing workload in the Augusta area. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a fire alarm professional who can confidently manage installations, supervise crews, troubleshoot systems, and deliver quality work from start to finish. What You'll Do Lead the installation, modification, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm and life-safety systems. Install addressable and conventional panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, power supplies, and associated wiring. Read and execute work from approved drawings, specifications, riser diagrams, and submittals. Oversee device mounting, wire pulling, terminations, labeling, and programming support. Conduct system testing and pre-testing before AHJ inspections. Troubleshoot system issues, verify device operation, and correct deficiencies. Supervise installers and assign daily job-site responsibilities. Monitor crew productivity, workmanship, safety, and project progress. Train and mentor less-experienced installers on proper installation methods and code compliance. Complete daily reports, time records, and material documentation accurately. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with applicable codes and company standards. What We're Looking For High school diploma or
GED. 4-7
years of fire alarm installation experience. Previous lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, and installation practices. Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documents. Experience with addressable fire alarm systems such as Notifier, Simplex, Edwards, Siemens, Honeywell, or Bosch. NICET or other relevant fire alarm certifications preferred. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in confined spaces. Ability to work at heights and on active construction sites. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments. Availability for overtime or travel between job sites when required.
