Associate's degree Full Job Description Security Technician Midwest Alarm, dba BCI Integrated Solutions, is seeking a Security Technician to install and service commercial security, access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and configure/program access control, security, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television, camera systems, fire and other various security related systems. Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots, re-configures, and tests equipment and devices associated and repairs as necessary. Performs upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality and usability. Assists on installation projects as needed. Performs service tasks required to fulfill service requirements. Read and understand drawings and prints to install the correct equipment in the correct locations. Provides technical support with programming and hardware support to other technicians, management and sales force. Be a TEAM player
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:
Preferred to have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices. Must be able to read technical documents, drawings and prints. Working knowledge of the NEC and electrical/electronic calculations. 1-2 years working in electronics, basic electric circuit troubleshooting (working knowledge of Ohms law). Electronics and troubleshooting skills required. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must be able to climb ladders and carry a backpack of 50+ pounds unassisted. Computer skills are necessary
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:
2-year degree resulting in an Associate's or Technical degree or Equivalent in electronics or related field NICET Certification
