Moran Fire Protection! We have an exciting opportunity for an entry level Fire Protection Systems Designer in our Morton, IL office.
You Are:
EXPERIENCE
Experience using Microsoft Office software and good computer skills. Fire Protection design software such as AutoSprink, and/or AutoCad; or the ability to learn quickly. Learn and comply with NFPA standards and other applicable federal, state, and local codes
KNOWLEDGEABLE
High School diploma with some college; or equivalent relevant experience; ability to obtain NICET certification
ANALYTICAL
Critical thinker with mathematical aptitude; strong attention to detail; good working knowledge of hydraulic calculations; ability to read and understand construction blueprints
GOOD COMUNICATER
Good written and verbal communication skills
ADAPTABLE
Quickly adjusts to a changing environment; successfully manages priorities under time constraints
FLEXIBILE
Available as needed; able to travel to client sites when necessary
What You'll Do:
KEEP TO CODE
Accurately and thoroughly prepare code compliant fire protection system designs within stipulated timeframes for a variety of projects
PREPARE:
Produce fire sprinkler design drawings that maximize efficiency, meet code compliance and industry standards and specifications; hydraulic calculations to determine pipe sizes
TRACK:
Stocklist materials for fabrication and purchasing
COORDINATE
Coordinate pipe and sprinkler locations with building components, other trades, and field personnel
