Role Description We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, test, inspect, service, and maintain commercial fire alarm systems while ensuring compliance with applicable fire and life safety codes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of fire alarm systems, how they integrate with other building systems, and experience supporting new installations, system upgrades, inspections, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation, programming, testing, inspection, and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems. Perform system takeovers, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on existing fire alarm systems. Conduct required fire alarm testing to ensure compliance with NFPA and local code requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Understand how fire alarm systems integrate with sprinkler systems, HVAC, elevators, access control, and other building systems. Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and project teams.

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of NFPA fire alarm codes and commercial fire alarm systems. Experience with installation, testing, service, or maintenance of fire alarm systems. Ability to troubleshoot electrical and low-voltage systems. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. NICET Certification (any level)
