Job Description

Job Summary:
An Entry Level Fire Alarm Systems Technician will under direct supervision assist with the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems under direct supervision. This role is designed for those starting their career in fire alarm systems and offers hands-on experience and training in basic system setup and safety practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Assist with reading blueprints and understanding project specifications. 2. Help organize materials and tools needed for fire alarm installations. 3. Climb ladders and use aerial lifts under supervision to support senior technicians. 4. Support installation of conduit, back boxes, and wire hangers as directed. 5. Pull wire and assist in terminating circuits under guidance. 6. Assist with basic programming or configuration tasks as trained. 7. Maintain clean job sites including sweeping and organizing materials. 8. Inspect tools and cords under supervision. 9. Help maintain inventory at job sites and in office/shop areas. 10. Follow safety procedures and guidelines set by supervisor or general contractor. 11. Learn and assist with basic inspection and testing tasks. 12. Observe and support troubleshooting tasks.
Job Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work with hand tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Optional:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Interest in pursuing NICET certification or technical training
