Job Description

American Sound is looking to add a Lead Security Technician to our growing team in Covington! This role is ideal for candidates with 3-5 years of experience who bring advanced technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of integrated security systems. The position offers the opportunity to lead projects end-to-end, mentor field teams, and serve as a key technical resource for clients and end-users.
Job Responsibilities:
Leads and manages complex installation projects from start to finish Designs and plans security system installations Provides expert-level technical support and troubleshooting Programs and commissions sophisticated and integrated security systems Trains and mentors lower-level technicians Acts as an on-site point of contact for clients and stakeholders Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications Stays up to date with the latest industry technologies and trends May be involved in sales support and pre-sales technical consultation
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Valid driver's license and clean driving record 8+ years experience in security system installation Expert knowledge of all relevant tools, testing equipment, and installation techniques Comprehensive understanding of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems Mastery of reading and interpreting complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, and network schematics Holds advanced industry certifications and licenses (e.g., state-specific low-voltage licenses, advanced manufacturer certifications across multiple product lines, network security certifications, OSHA 10-hour on first day company provided, 30 Hour in 6 months) Thorough knowledge of all relevant codes, standards, and best practices

$32-37/hr
Shift Time and Days:
M-F, 7AM- 3
