Overview Join our dynamic team as a Low Voltage Technician specializing in Cameras, Security, and Fire Systems! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our security infrastructure, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide array of low voltage systems that keep facilities safe and secure. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of surveillance cameras, alarm systems, access controls, fire detection devices, and telecommunication networks. Responsibilities Install, configure, and service CCTV surveillance systems, access control panels, fire alarm devices, and intercom systems using schematics and technical drawings. Troubleshoot equipment issues related to security systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and fire alarms to ensure optimal performance. Read electrical blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret system design and wiring layouts for installation projects. Conduct cabling, wiring, and termination of low voltage systems using power tools and hand tools while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Perform routine maintenance checks on security hardware including sensors, locks, cameras, and alarm panels; document all service activities thoroughly. Support remote access software setup for surveillance and security system monitoring from off-site locations. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate low voltage systems seamlessly into the infrastructure. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or installer in low voltage systems such as CCTV, alarm & access control systems, fire alarms, or telecommunication networks. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting and system repairs. Familiarity with computer networking principles essential for configuring networked security devices and remote access solutions. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints related to electrical blueprint reading and system design. Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and construction environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of NEC guidelines and electrical codes relevant to low voltage installations.
