Job Description

Excel Services Inc. is one of the fastest growing companies in the greater Louisville Area for the past two years and we are looking to hire a Fire Alarm Technician for local work in the greater Louisville/Southern Indiana area. Some of the projects will include overtime. Must be a local candidate or within commuting distance. Work with and learn from the best technicians in the business. Design, install and inspect high-quality fire alarm, security and fire suppression systems for commercial, institutional and industrial customers.
Responsibilities:
Service and installation of Fire/Life Safety Systems, Emergency and Exit Lighting. Assure that all scheduled service and installations are performed in a timely manner. Assure that the administrative paperwork is completed in a timely and professional manner. Maintain the necessary licenses, and training certificates required commensurate with the job duties performed. Promote company products and services to customers. Able to recognize audible and visual safety alarm indications
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in electronics or equivalent is preferred Experience in the service and installation of fire/life safety systems, emergency and exit lighting. NICET and/or KY Licensed Fire Alarm Inspector or equivalent preferred Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, specifications and operations manual necessary to service and install systems. Ability to use electronic test instrument, computer skills, working with laptops, notepads etc. A clean driving record Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong problem-solving skills. Able to skillfully, subtly negotiate situations involving conflicting information, perspectives and personalities Strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to engage both colleagues and customers Strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple simultaneous requirements with competing priorities
Salary:
$26.00 or higher depending upon experience.
