Job Description
Fire System Installer
Come aboard the ARK as a Fire & Security System Installer - COMMERCIALThe Commercial Fire System Installer is responsible for installing various electronic systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installation of control panels, panel and system wiring, conduit and raceway and field device terminations.
- Coordinating daily scheduling with the customer on-site.
- Daily communication with project manager.
- Maintaining drawings and/or schematics.
- Perform troubleshooting as required
- Conducts quality assurance.
- Timely completion of associated documentation.
- Basic panel programming and setup/ testing.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of alarm system requirements and the ability to interpret code books and handbooks.
- Able to utilize a laptop with system application software, etc.
- Excellent customer service and ability to work well with others
Education and Experience:
COMMERCIAL
Experience required- Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
- 3-5 years of related industry experience.
- Valid driver's license
- Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs
- Must be willing to work at heights
- Must be able to operate electrical tools
- Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
