Fire Alarm Technician / Installer

EAI Security Systems is a growing security and fire system integrator located in Rockville, MD. We primarily service commercial and government customers in the Maryland, Virginia and DC area. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fire Alarm Installer.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Install, program and troubleshoot fire alarm systems Project Management skills Be able to work independently or as team member Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and Fire Alarm software installation Install all types of raceways Runs electrical wiring in the installation process Completes all wiring, connections, and equipment installations, ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements. Troubleshoots new system installations to ensure that they are functioning properly and that they meet local, county, state and/or federal codes and any licensing and/or insurance requirements Manage and supervise Jr. technicians as required Manage the completion of miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as job-site clean up

Knowledge and Skills:

Minimum 5-years of experience in the Fire Alarm industry installing field devices, programming systems and running medium to large-scaled jobs Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to meet deadlines Must be detail oriented and organized Working knowledge of NFPA 701, 72 and 101 Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record Must be able to lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds NICET Certification is a plus Benefits at
