Job Description
Low Voltage Technician Location:
Ridgeland, MS Pay:
$25-$33/hr DOE We Are Looking For We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician who has hands-on experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage systems. Candidates should have experience with structured cabling, access control, CCTV, security systems, and/or fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, or educational environments. Responsibilities Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling Install and troubleshoot access control systems including card readers, mag locks, strikes, and security doors Install and maintain CCTV and IP camera systems Install and support fire alarm and security systems Perform RJ45 terminations, patch panel terminations, and cable testing Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and system drawings Troubleshoot low voltage systems and perform repairs as needed Maintain accurate installation and service documentation Follow all jobsite safety and quality standards Required Experience Minimum 2 years of low voltage installation experience Experience with at least 3 of the following: Access Control CCTV / Surveillance Systems Fire Alarm Systems Fiber Optic Cabling Structured Cabling Security Systems Data Communications Cabling Experience with cable termination and testing Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 orOSHA 30 NCCER
Electrical Experience working in data centers, healthcare, schools, or commercial facilities Experience with mag locks, card readers, and security hardware Fiber certification or testing experience Candidates Who Will Stand Out Candidates with hands-on experience in: Access Control Systems Security Cameras/CCTV Fire Alarm Installation Fiber Optic Installation Data Centers Structured Cabling Security Integration Projects Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Ridgeland, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
