Job Description

Low Voltage / Security Systems Technician Belden, MS 38826 $25.40 - $33.00 an hour - Full-time $25.40 - $33.00 an hour - Full-time Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled Security Systems Technician to install, wire, and program commercial access control, intrusion, and CCTV systems. The ideal candidate is an expert troubleshooter with a strong IP networking background, capable of interfacing directly with IT staff and traveling for up to 3 weeks at a time.
Key Responsibilities Access Control:
Install and wire cabling, electric strikes, mag locks, gate locks, card readers (including OSDP), RTE devices, and door contacts.
Panel Programming:
Wire and program panels including Altronix, Trove, Genetec, Axis, Hanwha, Kantech, Brivo, Gallagher, Life Safety Panels, and Avigilon.
Intrusion Systems:
Wire and program DSC, Bosch, Vista (15, 20, 250), and Qolsys systems; manage Alarm.com configurations.
Surveillance:
Install, configure, and program IP cameras in the field (including advanced settings beyond basic IP/credential assignments).
VMS Configuration:
Program and manage VMS platforms including Genetec, Exacq, Axis, Avigilon, and Hanwha.
Networking & IT:
Assign IP addresses, understand network topology, and effectively communicate network requirements with IT departments.
Qualifications Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of cabling infrastructure best practices and life safety code compliance.
Software Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and IT staff.
Travel:
Must have the ability and willingness to travel for up to 3 weeks at a time as project needs dictate.
Pay:
$25.40 - $33.00 per hour
