Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician to spearhead the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems across commercial and industrial sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and system performance. Duties Lead the installation, testing, inspection, and servicing of fire alarm systems, ensuring adherence to all relevant codes and standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and local regulations Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and CAD drawings to accurately execute system layouts and modifications Oversee field service activities including troubleshooting sensors, low voltage wiring, alarm modules, and control panels with precision Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and safety requirements Collaborate with clients on fire alarm system sales opportunities by providing expert advice on system design and upgrades Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to install and maintain complex fire alarm systems efficiently Supervise a team of technicians, providing mentorship, training on new technologies, and ensuring quality standards are met consistently Requirements Proven experience as a fire alarm or systems service technician with a strong background in electrical work and low voltage systems Extensive knowledge of fire alarm components including sensors, control panels, schematics, and system integration techniques Ability to read blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and construction documents accurately Familiarity with NEC regulations related to fire alarm wiring and electrical safety practices Mechanical knowledge related to fire sprinkler fitting and building construction processes is highly desirable Hands-on experience with field service operations involving troubleshooting alarms, sensors, power supplies, and communication modules Strong understanding of construction inspection procedures to ensure compliance during system installations Excellent skills in using hand tools, power tools, power drills, multimeters, and testing equipment for precise work Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients on fire alarm sales opportunities or upgrades Valid certifications in fire alarm systems or electrical work preferred; ongoing training or certifications encouraged Join us as a Lead Fire Alarm Technician where your expertise will make a tangible difference in safety standards while advancing your leadership career.
