Job Description

Aerotek is hiring for Fire Alarm Installation Technician Job Description Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5/Cat6, fiber optic, coaxial) Run and connect wiring for systems such as: Security cameras (CCTV) Fire alarm systems Access control systems Data/telecom networks himalayas Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Mount and install devices (cameras, panels, routers, AV equipment) Troubleshoot and repair wiring, connections, and system failures Test completed systems to ensure proper performance and safety compliance Perform routine maintenance and inspections on installed systems Label and organize cables and maintain clean installations Document work completed and maintain service records Provide basic training or instructions to end-users on system operation Responsibilities Install and wire fire alarm systems according to project specifications. Bend conduit and pull wire effectively for fire alarm installations. Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems as needed. Read and interpret blueprints for accurate installation. Ensure all installations meet low voltage and electrical standards. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in fire alarm installation. Proficient in bending conduit and pulling wire. Ability to wire fire alarm systems. Basic understanding of electrical and low voltage systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with fire alarm system programming is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Punctuality and reliability. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelby, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
