Job Description

We hiring dependable individuals for Emergency On-Call Fire Watch positions. These assignments are designed to cover emergency staffing needs and often require workers to be available on short notice. Position Overview As Fire Watch, you will monitor commercial or industrial properties to help ensure there are no signs of fire or other fire hazards while a fire protection system is impaired or otherwise required by the client.
Assignments may range from:
12-hour shifts 24-hour shifts Multiple days or several weeks, depending on the client's needs Most shifts involve remaining on-site and monitoring the property. You will spend the majority of your shift inside your personal vehicle or inside the building while maintaining observation of the premises. Responsibilities Monitor assigned property for signs of fire or smoke. Immediately call 911 if a fire or emergency occurs. Notify company management after contacting emergency services. Remain alert and on-site for the duration of your assigned shift. Follow all client and company procedures. Requirements Reliable transportation (required) Working mobile phone with texting and calling capabilities Ability to respond to emergency assignments on short notice Dependable, punctual, and professional No prior Fire Watch experience required—we will provide instructions before your assignment. Compensation $14.00-$16.00 per hour, depending on assignment location. 1099 Independent Contractor position. Paid weekly after an initial one-week holdback. 12- to 24-hour assignments are paid the following day.
