JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position processes emergency calls for assistance in an expeditious and accurate manner to best serve the needs of the citizens of Nashua; directs incoming calls to appropriate departments; gives information and directions to the public; maintains required logs; and monitors alert systems. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a full-time rotating shift position - 10-hour days, 14-hour nights - days off in between, and is part of IAFF Local #789. There are mandatory overtime requirements when shift coverage is needed. The position has a starting annual rate not to exceed $62,782 SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Applicants with previous emergency communications experience preferred Must have the ability to perform all job functions under emergency conditions Capable of operating various computer equipment, electronic business equipment, and municipal fire alarm system Ability to respond to emergency call-backs in a timely manner Must possess a valid driver's license High school diploma or certified equivalent
