Proven ability to manage jobs alone, coordinate with contractors, and oversee full project lifecycles from planning through installation while maintaining safety, quality, and code compliance. You will be on high profile buildings like large warehouses, colleges, office buildings, hospital homes, malls etc. in the New Jersey state.
Core Responsibilities & Skills:
Lead and supervise crews on large-scale fire protection system installations Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair all types of fire sprinkler systems Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers Manage workflows, scheduling, and on-site productivity Manage reports & work tickets daily Manage Timesheets on a weekly basis Perform system installations, maintenance, and repairs Provide job estimates/material list to management and communicate effectively with customers when required Work independently or lead teams to meet project deadlines Utilize power and hand tools, including pipe machine for grooving and threading Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicle in proper working condition Ensure compliance with fire codes, safety standards, and regulations Willing to work overtime or non-standard hours based on project demands Must be on an "On-Call" rotation Perform additional duties as needed to support project success
Technical Expertise:
Wet fire sprinkler systems, Pre-action, Fire Pump churn testing and annual flow test, dry systems Working knowledge of foam systems is a plus but not required Fire sprinkler inspection, testing, and repair Backflow systems (repair, testing, and inspection knowledge) Large-scale inspection testing and maintenance projects. 5-year internal inspections Hydrant inspections 3-year Dry system trip testing Extinguisher and fire alarm inspection experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
3+ years experience as a technician on large-scale projects. 3+ years of fire sprinkler and backflow repair experience Strong working knowledge of fire sprinkler and backflow systems Ability to work independently and manage multiple job responsibilities Proven leadership and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments Knowledge of NFPA 25 requirements
Pay:
$25.87 - $40.00 per hour
