Fire, Data, & Low Voltage Infrastructure Location:
Rio Rancho, NM (Serving NM) The Opportunity PLTi is seeking elite technicians to lead high-profile projects across New Mexico . We operate in high-security environments including Military Installations, Federal Buildings, Hospitals, and Schools. We are looking for professional, reliable technicians who take pride in "clean" pathways, head-ends and strict code compliance.
Who We Are Looking For:
Bona Fide Fire Alarm Specialists:
3+ years of experience installing, programming, and commissioning large-scale commercial fire systems.
Versatile Low Voltage Techs:
"All-arounders" with extensive experience across CCTV, Access Control, Audio/Video, and Nurse Call systems.
Infrastructure & Fiber Pros:
Experts in high-volume data cabling, fiber optic termination/testing, GPON, and rack integration.
Must pass an initial drug test before your start date and remain subject to random screenings.
Transportation:
Must have reliable personal transportation and a clean driving record to be eligible for company insurance.
Tools:
Must own and bring all required hand tools for low voltage installation and service.
Site Access:
Must be eligible for access to Military Bases and Government installments (requires background clearance).
Travel:
Must be willing to travel regionally ( NM, AZ, TX, and CO ) with occasional overnight stays.
Probationary Period & Benefits Vehicle Policy:
Transportation is the sole responsibility of the technician during the temp phase. A company vehicle may be issued after a minimum of 90 days of favorable performance evaluation , though this is not guaranteed and is based on company needs, performance, and position requirements.
Install, test, and certify commercial fire alarm systems; properly terminate head-end equipment.
Data Infrastructure:
large-scale cable/fiber pulls, dressing, and termination for Voice/Data and GPON.
Code Compliance:
Ensure every install meets or exceeds
NEC, NFPA
72, IBC, BICSI, and TIA/EIA standards. Qualifications 3+ years in commercial low voltage, with a heavy emphasis on Fire Alarm systems. NM State Journeyman License ES-3J or ES-7J is required, ES-3J is preferred.
Pay:
$25.00 - $37.00 per hour
