Job Summary We are looking for a skilled, motivated and career minded Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties. The Alarm Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service. Duties Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems, including fire alarms and low voltage systems. Read blueprints and schematics to understand system design and layout. Conduct system inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Accurately document service reports and inspection findings. Perform field service tasks, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with alarm systems. Work with hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs effectively. Collaborate with clients on alarm system sales, providing expert advice on suitable solutions for their needs. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in the installation of sensors and other components. Ensure all work complies with the NFPA and state standards. Qualifications Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Technician (1-3+ years preferred). Knowledge of NFPA 72, local fire codes, and general life-safety standards. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record to qualify for company vehicle. NICET Certification preferred but not required.

FDNY COF

Certification preferred but not required. Strong electrical experience with an understanding of low voltage systems. Familiarity with fire sprinkler systems is a plus. Knowledge of construction practices and inspection processes. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
