Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fire Extinguisher Technician, where your expertise will ensure safety and compliance across various facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and servicing fire extinguishers and related fire suppression systems. Your technical skills and attention to detail will help protect lives and property while supporting our commitment to safety excellence. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of fire extinguishers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Service, recharge, and refill fire extinguishers using appropriate hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and CAD drawings related to fire suppression systems. Perform system testing on fire alarm systems, sensors, low voltage wiring, and electrical components in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Assist with construction inspection activities for new or upgraded fire suppression installations, including fire sprinkler fitting and system design verification. Use mechanical knowledge and construction experience to troubleshoot issues with fire alarm systems and related equipment. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of inspections, repairs, and system modifications. Collaborate with team members on field service projects involving schematics, electrical wiring, sensors, and alarm systems sales or upgrades. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in fire safety or related fields such as construction inspection or mechanical systems. Hands-on experience working with fire sprinkler fitting, fire alarm systems, sensors, low voltage wiring, and electrical components. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and system design documents. Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical codes relevant to fire alarm installation and maintenance. Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in fire extinguisher servicing. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with construction experience to support system installation or troubleshooting efforts. Previous sales experience in alarm systems or fire alarm sales is a plus but not required; a proactive approach to customer service is essential.
