The Role We're hiring a Fire Suppression System Installer to install commercial kitchen hood systems, spray booth systems, and other pre‑engineered suppression systems. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical or construction background who is confident on job sites, comfortable working from drawings, and able to complete installs cleanly and efficiently. You'll work independently or as part of a small crew, with support from experienced specialists—but no constant micromanagement. What You'll Be Doing Install pre‑engineered fire suppression systems (kitchen hoods, spray booths, special hazards) Read and work from drawings, layouts, and job instructions Mount piping, nozzles, tanks, and system components Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Coordinate with ABC Fire technicians, foremen, and customers Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments during install Keep job sites, tools, and company vehicle clean and organized Follow local fire codes and safety practices (training provided) What We're Looking For Required Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on installation experience Background in fire protection, HVAC, sheet metal, mechanical trades, carpentry, or low‑voltage Ability to work independently and finish jobs with minimal supervision Reliable, punctual, professional on customer sites Valid driver's license and clean driving record Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts Nice to Have (Not Required) Experience with Ansul, Range Guard, Kidde, Pyro‑Chem, or similar systems Fire protection, HVAC, or trade certifications Experience working on commercial construction sites Pay & Benefits $22-30 per hour, based on experience and proven ability Company truck, cell phone, tools, and uniforms provided Paid holidays & paid time off Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match On‑site gym access Steady work
