Job Description Crime Intervention Alarm, an Altus Fire & Life Safety company, located in York, PA is looking for an In-House Security Systems Technician to join our team! The In-House Systems Technician is primarily responsible for programming and configuring security equipment including access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarm components. Responsibilities Program and configure access control, intrusion alarm, video surveillance, fire protection and related security equipment. Configure network settings, communications, and system parameters according to project requirements. Verify programmed equipment through functional testing and quality assurance before deployment. Create and maintain programming documentation, system records, and installation information. Troubleshoot programming and configuration issues during system preparation. Research technical documentation and manufacturer resources to resolve unfamiliar problems. Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule to support installation timelines. Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure systems are prepared according to project specifications. Continuously learn new products, software platforms, and programming methods as technologies evolve. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong technical aptitude and an interest in computers, electronics, networking, or technology. Basic understanding of computer networking (IP addressing, routers, switches, etc.) preferred. Experience with electronic security systems, low-voltage systems, IT, or electronics is preferred but not required. Ability to quickly learn new software and hardware platforms. Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines. Proficiency with Windows and standard computer applications. Technical certifications or relevant education are a plus. Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to take ownership of assigned projects.
