JOB SUMMARY
Fire Alarm Installer/Technician will ensure compliance with safety codes, perform in-depth troubleshooting, and train customers on system functionality. This role typically involves working with mission-critical systems in data centers, manufacturing, and the energy sector, requiring technical expertise, documentation, and a strong focus on safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities All team members must embody the company's mission to protect people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job. Install and configure fire alarm and specialized hazard suppression systems Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read blueprints and understand safety codes.
Project Coordination :
Work with project managers to update customers on job progress.
System Testing:
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and annual device testing (NFPA-72). Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent, required. Two years' experience servicing fire alarm and special hazard fire suppression systems, required. Experience reading blueprints is required. Module-level troubleshooting experience required. Associate degree in electronics or related field, preferred. NICET (Fire Alarm or Special Hazard) certification Level
II EL-06
Experience with the following manufacturers: Kidde, Fenwal, Notifier, Fike, FCI, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard internet usage. Strong time management skills. Capable of using Windows-based software as well as mobile iPad applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized and detail-oriented. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously. Demonstrated customer service mindset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a remote position that would be deployed from the associate's home to local job sites for installs, service, or repairs. Company vehicle, tools, technology, and equipment provided. Job duties require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and crawl into tight or awkward places. Can require overnight travel required up to 25% of the time.
