This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge proprietary fire alarm control panels, sensors, and low-voltage electrical systems. As a key player in our service team, you'll deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to strict fire codes, NFPA standards, and building regulations. Your expertise will help protect lives and property, making a real difference every day! Duties Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, sprinkler monitor systems, sensors, and related low-voltage electrical components in accordance with fire codes and NFPA standards Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical blueprints, construction drawings, and engineering troubleshooting documents to ensure precise system design and installation Perform construction inspection duties to verify compliance with building codes and safety regulations during new installations or upgrades Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair fire/burglar alarm control panels (including proprietary systems), sensors, sprinklers, and associated hardware Provide field service support by diagnosing electrical issues, performing system testing, adjusting sensors or components as needed, and ensuring optimal system performance Communicate effectively with clients to explain system functions, maintenance procedures, or repair requirements while delivering top-tier customer service Skills Strong knowledge of fire alarm, burglar alarms, access systems and camera systems including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sales of fire alarm solutions Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams (including NEC standards), and engineering troubleshooting documents Mechanical knowledge related to sprinkler fitting, fire sprinkler systems installation, and low-voltage electrical work Familiarity with building code compliance requirements for fire safety systems and adherence to NFPA standards Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while performing complex electrical or mechanical tasks Excellent customer service skills combined with clear communication abilities to explain technical information effectively Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to safeguarding communities through innovative fire safety solutions!
