Overview:

Seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Field Service Technician on a contract basis. This position involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of access control systems, door hardware, and related security equipment. Strong performers may be considered for permanent placement after the initial contract period. Ideal for candidates with some experience in the field or a related technical trade who are looking to expand their skills.

Responsibilities:

Install, service, and maintain access control systems, card readers, and electronic locks Assist with wiring, cabling, and system configuration Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on access control and security systems Work with senior technicians to complete projects efficiently and safely Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Follow safety protocols and company procedures on all job sites Travel to various locations throughout Charleston and surrounding areas

Qualifications:

Some experience in access control, low-voltage electrical work, or a related field preferred Basic understanding of wiring, circuits, and electronic systems Ability to use hand and power tools safely Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with systems such as HID, Lenel, or Honeywell Experience with CCTV or alarm systems Basic computer and networking knowledge
