Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Security Technician to install fire alarm, access control and surveillance systems installations, inspections, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise. Candidates should have a solid background in system design, field service, and low voltage electrical systems. A thorough understanding of schematics, blueprints, NEC regulations is essential for success in this position. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to ensure accurate implementation Perform construction inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and building codes Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely project completion Conduct field service repairs and troubleshooting of system s using hand tools, power tools and volt meter Install and configure sensors, alarms, control panels, and low voltage wiring in accordance with NEC standards Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians on system operation and installation techniques Assist in sales efforts related to systems by providing technical expertise on system capabilities Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and system design documentation Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage wiring and NEC regulations Mechanical knowledge related to construction. Field service experience with troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of access control, fire alarm and fire alarm systems. Familiarity with sensors, alarms, control panels, and other system installation Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Knowledge of fire alarm standards including NFPA codes Construction experience with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise combined with strong time management skills to ensure high-quality system performance.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
