Position Summary :
MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ON-CALL EMERGENCY SERVICE IN THE ASHEVILLE, NC AND GREENVILLE, SC AREAS
. Repair of alarm systems, such as fire and security as well as intercom systems and equipment such as radios, speakers, transmitters, and related antenna and cable assemblies. These repairs must be completed according to product specification, manufacturing instructions and diagrams, using test equipment, hand tools & soldering iron. Other duties include but are not limited to: Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on low voltage systems and other related building system products at customer sites. Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures. Refer to technical manuals, parts manuals, change notices, blueprints, and modifications notices to repair equipment. Computer and software literate. Strong organizations skills to maintain systems documentation, compliance and testing reports, and account information for a customer site. Overnight travel may be required.
Requirements :
Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen to retain and maintain licenses that are required by the State of North Carolina. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements. Must have 3-5 years' experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming low voltage equipment. Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance. Must be able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job site, inspectors, customers and the public.

Work is primarily performed both indoor and outdoor environments in all/extreme weather conditions. This position requires physical activity including extended periods of standing and walking, frequent sitting, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, stooping and climbing. Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or carry materials and/or supplies and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifting and/or carrying of materials and/or supplies weighing up to 100 lbs.
