Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a Commercial Security Installer to support the installation, testing, service, and troubleshooting of low-voltage security and life safety systems. This role is ideal for technicians with experience in fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and electronic security systems who are comfortable working independently in commercial environments. The ideal candidate is proactive, mechanically inclined, and able to diagnose and resolve issues with minimal supervision. What You'll Do
- Install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and security systems
- Perform device replacements, terminations, testing, and punch list work
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation schematics
- Run and terminate low-voltage cabling for security and life safety systems
- Test system functionality and verify proper operation
- Coordinate with customers to schedule and complete installations
- Complete required project documentation and service records
- Mentor and support junior technicians when needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment What You Bring
- 1-3 years of experience with low-voltage, fire alarm, security, or electronic systems
- Experience with device installation, terminations, troubleshooting, and testing
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record Nice to Have
- Experience with Edwards, EST, Simplex, FireLite, Vista, Alarm.com, or C
- CURE systems
- NICET certification
- Technical school or trade school training
