Job Description

Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, maintenance, testing, and recharging of portable fire extinguishers. Install, replace, and tag fire extinguishers and related fire protection equipment. Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to customers. Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and inventory documentation. Ensure all work complies with applicable fire codes, safety regulations, and company procedures. Safely operate company vehicles and maintain assigned tools and equipment. Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs, inspection needs, inspection findings, and recommendations. Assist with warehouse activities, inventory management, and equipment preparation as needed. Respond to service calls and emergency customer requests when needed. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a background check and maintain insurability under the company's vehicle insurance policy. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage daily service routes effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work from ladders and in various indoor and outdoor environments. Basic computer and mobile device proficiency Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment. Preferred Education/Certifications. and/or Experience High School Diploma / GED high school diploma or equivalent (A higher education degree in business or related field preferred) Previous experience servicing portable fire extinguishers, fire protection systems, or other related equipment. Experience in maintenance, mechanical service, electrical work, or a similar field. Current fire extinguisher technician certification or ability to obtain certification within a specific timeframe Knowledge of applicable fire protection codes and standards Experience providing service in commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, or multisite customer environments.

Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb ladders, and lift or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to safely operate tools, equipment, and a motor vehicle while traveling to customer locations. Work is performed in a variety of environments, including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and outdoor settings, with exposure to varying weather conditions and other environmental factors.
