Job Description
Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to support commercial properties within our global real estate portfolio. In this role, you will install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and life-safety systems to ensure reliability, code compliance, and occupant safety. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, document findings, and coordinate with property teams and vendors. Working in a performance-driven, client-focused environment, you'll support high-profile facilities and contribute to safer, more sustainable buildings while growing your technical skills and career at JLL. Responsibilities Install, program, inspect, and test fire alarm and life-safety systems across JLL-managed properties Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to minimize system downtime Verify compliance with NFPA, local fire codes, and JLL safety and quality standards Document inspections, test results, and corrective actions in work order/CMMS systems Coordinate with property management, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction as needed Respond to service calls and emergency issues, occasionally outside standard hours Support retrofit and upgrade projects, recommending improvements for reliability and sustainability Follow all safety procedures and participate in continuous technical training Required Skills Fire alarm installation Fire alarm inspection Troubleshooting and diagnostics System programming NFPA 72 knowledge Electrical wiring and schematics Testing and commissioning CMMS/work order systems Technical documentation Customer communication
