Overview About Us Pro-TechT is a locally owned company with 23 years of excellent service and sales in the DFW market place. We are expanding our Fire Division with a focus on Fire Alarm Services. This new Fire Alarm Sales and Support position would need to have a comprehensive understanding of Fire Alarm Systems and the process to get projects from start to finish. This position will be significantly incentivized monetarily based on sales and growth. Position Summary The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for the installation, programming, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and servicing of commercial fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining compliance with applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems. Perform fire alarm inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA standards. Program and commission fire alarm control panels and associated devices. Diagnose and resolve system deficiencies and service issues. Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams. Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and project paperwork accurately. Coordinate with customers, project managers, inspectors, and other trades. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NFPA, local codes, and company safety requirements. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of fire alarm installation or service experience. Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire alarm codes. Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams. Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record. Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. Preferred Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL). $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
