solutions". We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Multi Licensed Fire Protection Inspector & Service Technician for our location in La Porte, TX. This role is responsible for performing inspections, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and service on a variety of fire protection systems while ensuring all work meets NFPA standards, local codes, and company quality expectations. This position will help ensure that Austin Fire Systems, LLC maintains the highest possible industry standards.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and backflow prevention devices
  • Conduct inspections in accordance with NFPA standards and local/state regulations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose deficiencies within fire protection systems
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and service documentation accurately and timely
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding system deficiencies, recommendations, and corrective actions
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and testing equipment
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
  • Work independently and efficiently while managing multiple service calls and inspection schedules
  • Participate in on-call rotation when required
  • Experience with fire sprinkler inspections and service
  • Experience with fire alarm inspections and troubleshooting
  • Current fire protection licenses and certifications required
  • Backflow Certification required or willingness to obtain
  • NICET Certification required
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Excellent communication and computer skill is a must
  • Multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
