Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in low voltage systems, mechanical knowledge, and a strong understanding of alarm systems. Texas fire extinguisher FEL-K or FEL-A a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including but not limited to Fire alarms, Security alarms, and CCTV systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of wiring and equipment.
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues and ensure system functionality.
- Collaborate with construction teams to inspect and ensure system functionality.
- Collaborate with construction teams to inspect low voltage installations for compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
Technician
- Proven experience in low voltage systems installation and maintenance a plus.
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations a plus.
- Strong blueprint reading skills for system implementation a plus.
- Ability to perform construction inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
Apprentice Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and work well as part of a team.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Ability to complete online courses.
- Ability to operate handheld tools.
- Ability to read operation manuals.
