Fire Alarm Technician Job Summary:

We're growing and looking for reliable, skilled Fire Alarm Technicians to join our service and installation teams. What You'll Do Install, inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems Program and commission fire alarm control panels Perform acceptance testing, and preventive maintenance in accordance with NFPA 72, Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) rules, and local AHJ requirements Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Diagnose and correct system issues including ground faults, opens/shorts, device failures, and network problems Respond to scheduled service calls and emergency/after-hours requests Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and customer paperwork Maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide excellent customer service Follow all safety procedures and company policies Requirements Current Texas Fire Alarm Technician (FAL) license issued by the TDI State Fire Marshal's Office High school diploma or GED Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with commercial fire alarm systems (installation, service, or both) Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read blueprints and system drawings Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Preferred Qualifications Experience with multiple fire alarm manufacturers and programming software Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and Texas fire alarm regulations Prior experience with integrated systems (access control, security, nurse call, smoke control, etc.) •Hourly pay will depend on experience.
Pay:
$30,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
