Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Security Technician II to be based in the Austin/Round Rock area to support the installation and deployment of electronic security systems across large commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects. This role is responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting access control, CCTV, and low-voltage infrastructure while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Install and service CCTV cameras, video surveillance systems, and related equipment. Install access control systems including badge readers, door controllers, mag locks, electric strikes, and REX devices. Pull, terminate, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6 low-voltage cabling. Read and interpret blueprints, security layouts, and system schematics. Support installation and commissioning of physical security systems. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with project specifications and site standards. Collaborate with project teams to deliver projects on schedule and within quality expectations. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of hands-on access control experience Experience with access control systems and associated hardware Hands-on low-voltage cabling experience, including termination and testing Experience with physical security system installations in commercial or industrial environments Experience wiring doors and panels for Genetec, Lenel/S2, AMAG, and Software House/CCure. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and security system schematics Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and protocols. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks
