Security Systems Foreman - Access Control, CCTV & Fiber OpticsFull Job Description Core Secure LLC is seeking an experienced Security Systems Foreman to lead field installations of electronic security systems throughout the United States. This position is ideal for a highly skilled technician with strong leadership abilities and extensive experience in access control, CCTV, low-voltage systems, and fiber optic infrastructure . The Security Systems Foreman will oversee crews, coordinate field activities, ensure quality installations, and serve as the primary onsite technical lead. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with security integration projects, can troubleshoot complex systems independently, and has a strong background in fiber optic cabling, termination, testing, and troubleshooting. Benefits & Perks Competitive salary based on experience Per diem provided during travel Lodging fully covered Health insurance options Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Career advancement opportunities Long-term employment with a growing company Position Summary The Security Systems Foreman will supervise and perform the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems including: Access Control Systems (ACS) CCTV and IP Video Surveillance Systems Fiber Optic Infrastructure Intercom and Communications Systems Network-connected Security Devices Projects are located throughout the United States, with company headquarters in Northern Virginia. Travel is required. This role requires experience leading crews, coordinating installations, managing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
Leadership & Project Management Lead and supervise installation crews on security integration projects Coordinate daily field activities and assign work tasks Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for project managers and customers Ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules Conduct quality control inspections and verify system functionality Maintain project documentation, punch lists, and as-built information Security Systems Installation Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems Install and commission CCTV/IP video surveillance systems Integrate and program Aiphone intercom systems and related equipment Perform ACS server replacements and head-end upgrades Install and service security devices including: Access control panels Card readers Electronic locks Door position switches Request-to-exit devices Power supplies and backup systems Fiber Optic Infrastructure Install, route, secure, and protect fiber optic cabling Perform fiber optic termination using fusion splicing and mechanical connectors Test fiber optic systems using OTDRs, power meters, and light sources Troubleshoot fiber connectivity issues and repair damaged fiber infrastructure Interpret fiber optic test results and provide documentation Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications Technical Duties Run, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, riser diagrams, and wiring drawings Troubleshoot system and network-related issues Configure IP-based security devices and network-connected equipment Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements Required Qualifications Must be able to pass a Government Background Investigation Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic security systems installation Minimum 2 years of experience leading installation crews or serving as a foreman Strong experience with: Access Control Systems (Hirsch, Lenel, Genetec, Software House, or similar) CCTV and IP Video Surveillance Systems Fiber Optic Installation and Testing Intercom Systems (Aiphone preferred) Experience with ACS server installations and replacements Proficiency with fiber optic testing equipment including OTDRs and power meters Strong understanding of low-voltage cabling and infrastructure Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently Experience working with existing and legacy security systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong organizational and leadership skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred Qualifications Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certification BICSI Certification Lenel Certification Hirsch Velocity Experience Aiphone Certification OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification Experience supporting Federal or DoD facilities Work Environment Field-based position with extensive travel Work performed in secure facilities, construction environments, and outdoor locations Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and in confined spaces when required Why Join Core Secure? $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
