Job Summary Tight Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Access Control Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will install, configure, troubleshoot, and service electronic access control systems and integrated security solutions for commercial customers. You'll work with electrified door hardware, card readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, request-to-exit devices, door position switches, access control panels, surveillance systems, and low-voltage cabling. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with commercial electronic security systems, enjoys troubleshooting technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering high-quality installations and exceptional customer service. This position requires strong mechanical and technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team while traveling to customer sites throughout the region. Responsibilities Install, configure, and service electronic access control systems. Install electric strikes, magnetic locks, electrified exit devices, request-to-exit devices, door position switches, card readers, and related access control hardware. Install and terminate low-voltage cabling for access control and integrated security systems. Install access control panels, power supplies, network switches, and associated equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Test, commission, and troubleshoot newly installed systems. Diagnose and repair access control hardware, wiring, and software issues. Assist with the installation and service of surveillance camera systems and other integrated security solutions as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and report project progress. Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow company safety policies and industry best practices. Qualifications Two or more years of experience installing electronic access control or low-voltage security systems preferred. Experience installing and servicing electric strikes, magnetic locks, electrified exit devices, request-to-exit devices, door position switches, and card readers. Experience with low-voltage wiring, cable termination, and system testing. Experience with commercial security systems is preferred. Experience with Verkada or other commercial access control platforms is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and aerial lifts. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
