Your primary responsibility is to monitor for fire hazards, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and maintain a vigilant presence to prevent incidents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to safety operations while working during the quiet, yet critical overnight shift. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help safeguard assets, personnel, and property around the clock. Responsibilities Conduct continuous fire watch patrols across designated areas during overnight shifts, maintaining a high level of vigilance for fire hazards or safety violations. Monitor alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and other fire detection equipment to ensure proper operation and immediate response if alarms are triggered. Perform regular inspections of construction sites or facilities to identify potential fire risks, including electrical hazards, flammable materials, or blocked exits. Document all observations accurately in shift reports, noting any irregularities or safety concerns that require follow-up. Coordinate with security personnel and emergency responders in the event of a fire or safety incident, providing clear communication and support. Assist with system design assessments related to fire alarm and sprinkler systems when needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Support construction inspection activities by verifying that fire safety measures are correctly implemented during ongoing projects. Requirements Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight hours while maintaining a professional demeanor. Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail for identifying potential hazards early. Effective communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and coordinating with emergency teams.
Pay:
$14.00 - $14.50 per hour
