Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Body Helper, where your enthusiasm and mechanical aptitude will contribute to restoring vehicles to their best condition! In this energetic role, you will assist skilled auto body technicians with a variety of repair and fabrication tasks, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction. Your hands-on approach and willingness to learn will be key as you support the team in vehicle maintenance, auto body repairs, and finishing touches that make a difference. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in auto restoration, welding, and vehicle repair techniques within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with auto body repairs, including sanding, detailing, and applying paint using airless spray equipment Support welding repair tasks utilizing MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, and soldering techniques Handle sheet metal fabrication and repair using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Aid in vehicle maintenance activities such as auto glass replacement, assembly, and auto painting Use mechanical knowledge to help with auto restoration projects and perform heavy lifting as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols for all tools and equipment Collaborate with technicians on auto estimating, customer service interactions, and quality control checks Experience Dealership experience or background working as an automotive body technician is highly preferred Hands-on experience with MIG welding, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment Familiarity with auto body repair processes including sanding tools, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing Knowledge of sheet metal work, auto restoration methods, and automotive repair fundamentals Mechanical experience or mechanic background that supports understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures Comfort working with hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and welding equipment Prior experience in customer service or auto estimating is a plus but not required Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence in automotive repair!
