Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician, where your expertise in automotive structural repair and cosmetic restoration will bring vehicles back to their original glory! In this energetic role, you'll utilize your skills in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance to deliver exceptional results. Your hands-on craftsmanship will ensure every vehicle is restored with precision, quality, and attention to detail. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using specialized hand tools and power tools. Conduct welding repairs utilizing MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels. Fabricate custom parts and repair components through fabrication techniques such as bending, shaping, and assembly of sheet metal. Apply automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, auto painting with airless paint spraying equipment, and refinishing to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Use auto estimating tools to assess damage and determine repair scopes while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the process. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks as needed to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met during repairs. Engage in auto restoration projects by applying detailed fabrication repair techniques and automotive parts installation skills. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and the use of power tools. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop environment. Strong knowledge of auto body repair procedures including auto painting, sanding tools usage, and automotive cosmetic repair techniques. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication methods specific to automotive structural repairs. Familiarity with automotive parts installation, auto glass replacement, and auto estimating software is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive repair processes enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive service. Experience working with automotive welding equipment, sheet metal fabrication, and auto restoration projects is preferred.
