Responsibilities:

Working hand in hand with the master technician in diagnosing what necessary repairs are needed in getting damaged vehicles repaired back to pre-accident condition. Performing repair procedures such as R&I (Remove & Install) and R&R (Remove & Replace) per OEM requirements to ensure all repairs are compliant. Perform diagnostic tests to ensure that all issues are identified and corrected. Review vehicles post-teardown with the estimator/blueprinter to ensure all damage is accounted for at time of teardown and throughout the remainder of the repair process Follow all workplace shop safety procedures/standards. Ensure all repairs have been completed and the vehicle is prepared prior to going to the paint department. Follow shop floor qc process and sign off on vehicles prior to moving them onto the next department. Review repairs with master technician and management to ensure repairs are completed per shop quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized body department. Take vehicles out of the shop every morning and bring vehicles in at the end of every workday. Take vehicles to and from sublet vendors for alignments, tires to be mount and balanced, etc. Check in parts at time of drop-off to ensure all received parts are compatible and not damaged.

Skills & Requirements:

Minimum 5 years body shop experience I-CAR certified is a plus Valid California driver's license Reading comprehension of automotive repair procedures Fast learner Positive and enthusiastic attitude Detail-oriented Own Tools Honesty and integrity Team player Clean and organized Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Problem-solving skills Goal-oriented Work ethic Self-motivated Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift for long periods of time to perform repairs and inspections.
