In this energetic role, you'll assess vehicle damage, prepare detailed estimates, and coordinate repairs with our skilled technicians. Your mechanical knowledge and dealership experience will be vital in delivering top-tier service, ensuring customers feel confident and cared for from start to finish. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to accurately assess repair needs across various systems including auto body, mechanical components, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and more. Prepare detailed auto estimates using industry-standard estimating software, ensuring all repairs are accurately documented and costed. Communicate clearly with customers to explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines while providing exceptional customer service throughout the process. Collaborate closely with technicians and service advisors to prioritize repairs, schedule work efficiently, and ensure quality standards are met. Identify upselling opportunities such as additional services like oil changes, tire services, alignments, or suspension work to enhance customer value and shop revenue. Manage all service writing tasks including creating repair orders, tracking progress, and updating customers on vehicle status. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately while maintaining detailed records of all estimates and repairs performed. Qualifications Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and auto estimating. Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive diagnostics knowledge is highly desirable to understand repair complexities thoroughly. Familiarity with automotive repair procedures including air brake systems, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, and tire services. Excellent customer service skills combined with sales acumen to effectively upsell additional services. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines such as oil changes and brake repairs is essential. Experience in auto body repair estimation along with proficiency in service writing software. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers of diverse backgrounds.
