You'll work with a variety of tools and techniques to repair, replace, and refine vehicle bodies, ensuring each car leaves our shop looking impeccable. Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Conduct MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, soldering, and auto glass installation to restore vehicles to factory standards. Utilize auto estimating software to assess damages and determine repair scopes accurately. Prepare surfaces through sanding, detailing, and auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying to achieve flawless finishes. Use heavy lifting equipment and perform mechanical tasks related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during the use of power tools and welding equipment. Experience Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience as a body technician or similar role. Skilled in MIG welding, sheet metal work, fabrication, and auto painting techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto body repair equipment. Familiarity with auto glass installation, auto estimating procedures, and vehicle maintenance processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment. Knowledge of auto restoration projects and experience working with various automotive brands is highly desirable.
