Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Auto Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and service management, with the ability to assess vehicle damage and provide accurate estimates for repairs. This role is essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the integrity of our service operations. Responsibilities Evaluate vehicle damage and prepare detailed estimates for repairs, including parts and labor costs. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure accurate assessments of mechanical issues. Utilize service writing skills to document repair recommendations clearly and concisely. Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle needs, providing exceptional customer service throughout the estimation process. Maintain knowledge of automotive sales trends and repair techniques to provide informed recommendations. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation of all transactions. Stay updated on industry standards, including air brake systems, shocks, struts, and other mechanical components. Assist in managing the workflow within the service department to optimize efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in automotive repair or related fields, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Familiarity with service writing and the ability to transmit information effectively between departments. Experience in automotive sales is a plus but not mandatory. Strong cash handling skills and attention to detail in financial transactions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to auto service management are advantageous.
